Unexpected Narratives, A Dance and Performance Art Experience

Join us for an unforgettable evening of movement, visual art, and immersive storytelling with Unexpected Narratives. This unique performance features three talented dancers as they explore abstract, non-scripted vignettes set to expressive music. The costumes—created by artist Sandra Leonard—take center stage, transforming the performers into living, kinetic sculptures.

Through dynamic visuals, unexpected choreography, and the seamless blend of art and theater, Unexpected Narratives promises to be a rich and stimulating experience for all ages. Whether appearing solo or in small groups, the dancers bring to life a series of abstract narratives that challenge traditional perceptions of sculpture, motion, and storytelling.

About the Artist - Sandra Leonard:
Sandra Leonard’s work focuses on creating living sculpture, using the human body to blur the lines between art and theater. Her costumes, often large and sculptural, impede movement in unexpected ways, influencing the choreography itself. Her collaborative approach with performers turns each wearer into a kinetic sculpture, bridging the worlds of visual art and performance.
